I‘m 17 and a senior in high school. I have neither gone out with nor even danced with a girl (I have always been rejected when I ask girls to dances). Recently the girl I like was asked by the “hot” guy to homecoming and I chickened out from asking another girl. I‘m already stressed about school and college applications, and I live in a rural area so I can‘t do a whole lot with sports (my school is an hour drive from my house). What should I do to stop being depressed?

I’m sorry to bother everyone with yet another petty girlfriend/ boyfriend issue.

My best friend, who I have known since kindergarten, just got dumped by her boyfriend. She has been going out with him for two and a half years and she was very convinced they would be together forever.

He broke up with her because at a party, she got very drunk and kissed another boy. Well she made out with him.

She is devastated now and doesn’t know what to do with herself. She is very sweet and tender and all around a darling girl but she made a mistake.

Why would a parents rather lose all contact with her son then to see them happy?

Throw out my life every time I have tried to be happy my mom done every thing she could to stop it. From lying to my girlfriends (get them scared of me) to putting sugar in my gas tank just stop me from moving out. Well I have moved out was forced to walk to work because of her. And when I was on my own she would call me every day telling me all the problems that she was having because of me moving out. And because I have been raised in the good ole south I have been raised with “Southern Boy” ways I was raised that you should honer & respect your parents and of course causing my mom that much pain and problems is not respecting her. So I would when she would tell me how bad I hearting her I fault like a good for nothing low down dirty dog tell I would move back so she would happy. Giving up on my own happiness and life just to respect her.

Well being in the south are not it’s getting to the point that (I know I well regret saying this later.) But for now I hope she falls over dead. Just I can move with out with out her crying & bitching about the fucking problems I am causing her.

Honda Accord 07 2dr EX V6 shifter slides to D3 rather than stopping at D? Is there a fix or modification?

I just got a used Honda Accord 2dr EX V6..pretty much loaded – I just about love everything about the car except for the issue with when I put the car in gear. Like all cars, you have to hit the brake to release from park but after you can slide from reverse to drive without having to hold the button down *until* you want to pop it into 1,2, or 3. Unless I am staring at it and going one by one after taking the car out of park it just slides naturally almost like it’s design is intended to always be in D3 then I have to push it back up up to D – confusing for me and especially if anyone needs to borrow my car and burn my engine in D3…

So the dirty question.. Is there a way to make it stop at D and not slide to D3? Is this a design flaw or could there be something wrong that I need to get fixed or a modification that I can make to stop it at D and not go any further unless the unlock button is pressed? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

question about court and drug tests?

Ok, this is going to be a rather long question, but every detail is important, so if you are not willing to read all the way through, please do not answer. Here are all the details i feel should be included to ensure that i get the most accurate answer possible.

So a few months ago, me and a buddy got arrested for possession of weed and drug paraphernalia. I’m not 100% sure about the amount we had on us but im pretty positive it was under a gram. I am 18, and was 18 at the time of the arrest. My buddy was 16, so he was a minor. He has already been to juvenile court, and was given 6 months unsupervised probation and 10 hours of community service. When all of this happened, my dad hired an $800 lawer for me, who i, myself, have yet to talk to or even meet. I have yet to be tried, but will be tried tomorrow. My court date has been pushed back twice (it was originally supposed to be april 11th). I don’t know why it got pushed back the first time, but i’m pretty sure the second time was because they had not prepared a police report (not completely sure if that’s exactly true, but it was something along those lines). Because of this, along with the lack of severity in the charges i’m facing, i’ve also been hearing from a lot of my friends that they’re most likely going to drop the charges. I have not really stopped smoking since it happened, but i can say i haven’t smoked since this past friday. So i have three questions: 1) Can/will they ask me to take a drug test at court, 2) If they do, what happens if i fail it, and 3) If they do not ask me to take the test, what is my punishment most likely going to be, based purely on the charges? I realize that i can say no to taking the test, but i feel like if i do, the judge will pretty much know i’m still dirty, and will likely be less lenient than he would if he felt that i had learned my lesson.

Ah, i knew i was forgetting some details- quite a few, actually- we were caught while we were in said buddy’s basement. The sheriff came up, saying that he was looking for someone who used to live there, but moved out months before this happened, and when my buddy’s dad opened the front door, he said he could smell weed. I said hello to her and right at that time she hid her face from me, she was talking quietly, she was acting shy and stuff like that, it was difficult to keep the conversation going. Then at one point she just stopped talking to me and then turned her back on me, so i stopped talking to her. I think she was waiting for some guy, because when he came, she hugged him tightly and then left with him. It wasn’t all bad though one of the few times that i talked to her, i told her i went to the gym and then she flirty smile at me and then turned back to ignore me.

Next time it was similar, but this time she was much more friendly, not as friendly as the first time i met her though. This time she kept the conversation going, even though she was acting very serious and kept looking behind me like waiting for somebody me, even though she would look at me sometimes. She would also flirty smile at me a few times though, but still like i said she was acting very serious. Then the same guy came again, he kind of hugged her around her waist and left with her. She didn’t smile at him or anything. She told me to wait after they stopped talking.

I noticed something interesting, I stopped talking to her (we don’t talk at anymore) and sitting beside her and she looks like she is mad at me. I have seen her giving me bitchy looks or look down to the floor and close her arms like she was mad when i look at her. The few times that i have tried to talk to her, she has talked to me like she is mad at me, sometimes she ignores me completely. I have also caught her looking at me and once she approached me out of nowhere even though she didn’t say anything to me and i have seen her a few times blushing or acting shy too when she has passed in front of me.

What i am wondering though is that, does she like me? Was she playing hard to get and making me jealous? Why does she act like this?. Or does she have a boyfriend and what does she want with me if she does.

I have a bf who I love 100%. We have been together 9 months and have talked about the future and a life together. He is attenttive, funny, takes me on trips, engages with my friends and family and I think we are really happy. However, I found out he has been texting his ex girlfriend about once a month during our entire relationship. I’ve been with my boyfriend for about 3 months now, before we dated we were best friends. Now that were together, we have a good relationship and he says he’s in love with me & everything. But usually when we go out, if he sees any cute girls around he would check them out head to toe – right in front of me, as if i wasn’t even there. It’s so obvious to the point were sometimes the girls notice. I usually let it go but last time we were together, I was talking to him trying to get his attention. so i went to a restaurant/pub on my 21st birthday with my long term boyfriend and best guy friend, who also happens to be my guys closest friend. throughout our time there they continued to talk about how cute and good looking our waitress was. they kept saying she had amazing legs and body and cute face and such. i was ok with at first but they continunue to talk about her all night as they had more to drink. and then they talked about all of these other girls they thought were good looking that we know. i started to find it rude especially since they kept going on about it and completely ignored me. when i did tell them to stop they replied that i could check out all the guys i want.

I would just like to add that my boyfriend is not a horrible person. He would never ever cheat on me, is the smartest person I know, and we have been together for over 2 years happily. I just wanted to clarify that he is not a “prick and this is unusal behavior for him. It was a result of drinking too much, which he raraly does. He gets talkative when he drinks, not horny (trust me).
As punishment that night when they were both alseep/passed out and I was wide awake, I make an awful lot of noice and woke them up rudely and laughed when they got mad for me.

I have a best friend who I have known for more than 10 years. I am 18 and she is 16, but people always think we are the same age or she is older than me, so the age difference isn’t a big deal with us at all. She is a little more ‘popular’ then me. she is more sociable and I am more of an introvert and awkward in big social settings. I don’t like partying and drinking but she does party sometimes so she tends to have more friends too. my boyfriend, who i have been faithful for the 7 years i have been with him, has started to ban me from talking to certain people. I am an indepandent woman, i make my own money, and have not even always lived in the same city as my bf, so am used to dealing with guys etc by myself. Now he wants to be with my on every occasion i could talk to another person, and accuses me of flirting. Firstly he tried to ban me from a girl i met and really like, because he confided in her he was planning on moving away with another girl, he says she broke his trust. how do i stop being angry each time my boyfriend falls asleep and doesn’t call me?

my boyfriend and i have been in a long distance relationship for 1.5 years and although its tough, we’re both very committed to each other. to stay connected, we call each other every morning and end the day with a phonecall before going to bed.

the problem is that every so often, he falls asleep and doesn’t call me. and each time he’s done this (happens every couple of months), it completely drives me bonkers. in most other aspects (namely the important stuff) he is a wonderful man, but this flakiness is something i can’t stand. i just feel like since he knows this is a problem and a sore point with me, he should figure out a way to not have it happen again.

but when it does happen, he will call the next day apologizing profusely and trying to cheer me up. when this first started happening, i would chew him out and he would try really hard not to do it again. but inevitably it would happen again. i’m now at the point where i act like a cold sullen b*tch to him the following day because i’m so upset by it. it takes me a day to get over it and we’re fine again…until the next time.

i know that he doesn’t mean to fall asleep (i’ve seen him dozing off accidently when i come visit and we lounge around) so it’s not like i think he’s cheating on me. but when it happens, i just can’t act like everything’s all good because i feel like i’m condoning his behavior.

this isn’t something i would leave him for but i just don’t know how to deal with the anger. i’m wondering if any of you out there have any practical advice for handling something like this. i’m sure your significant others forget to do things that drive you up the wall. how have you dealt with it?

how do i stop being so angry when my boyfriend screws up?

i will start by saying that my boyfriend is the most loving, loyal, thoughful, and devoted man i know. the problem i’m having is that he’s not reliable. he says he’ll do things that he forgets 5 seconds later because he accidentally fell asleep or it just slipped his mind. he doesn’t pay attention to details (which is evident when he tells stories where the events are out of order or doesn’t remember what was said). sometimes unfortunate things will happen to him (like losing important things or sending gifts or bills late) and when he initially explains why, it sounds like he screwed things up. but after hounding him, he’ll finally share some detail that would shed light on the situation and would have made me less angry if i had known that detail from the beginning.

he recognizes that this is a problem and is working on paying more attention to detail. in the same vein, i recognize that i have a problem with being too harsh on him when these things happen. (luckily, we are very open in communicating, so we’ve discussed much of this)

the problem i have is that i’m starting to see him as a screw-up rather than see him as a man who occassionally makes honest mistakes. i don’t like that when something goes wrong, i automatically think it’s because he screwed up rather than giving him the benefit of the doubt.

i’m sure most of you out there have that one person (be it your mom, sibling, or significant other) whom when something bad happens, you just assume that it’s their fault rather than trying to understand the circumstances around the situation.

i hate feeling that way about my boyfriend but i don’t know how to change that. it’s not as easy as saying “don’t be mad” or “give him the benefit of the doubt” because if i could have done that on my own, i wouldn’t be dealing with this right now.
