how to stop worrying about him cheating?
My husband has never cheated(that I know of) and I have no way to accuse him. However, he just started a new job with 2 women working in the office, one of which he talks about constantly about she is so funny and gets all his jokes, and how they always eat lunch together. He has started wearing cologne to work(he is a mechanic, doesn’t need cologne!).. How can I stop my jealous feelings and thoughts that he won’t cheat? He is 23, she is 44(also wierd he knows this within a week I think)…
I have been to a counselor and she just said to try to think he wont, and to calm down.. I can’t though!!
Hun, that is not a girlfriend…it’s a mother. The one thing you can do and I cannot believe your counselor did not suggest this first…talk to him. The biggest problem in most marriages is that the parties do not communicate. Ask him if he feels like you do not "get" him or laugh at his jokes. Tell him that you feel jealous and worry about him cheating and just need some reassurance.
My guess is that he is flattered to have this older woman’s attention and may honestly not have any insight into what he is doing.
