how do i stop feeling jealous of everyone around me?
ok..
my cousin is on the swim team, and she is really fast. her dad keeps bragging how proud he is of her.
and everyone my grandpa says something like "bla bla is good at this" i feel bad inside that i don’t make anyone in my family proud.
later, i feel jealous of whoever my grandpa said is good… because they are better than me and make their family proud.
i think don’t make anyone proud of me…
and then all my classmates do sports. they are good. im an indoor person. and i HATE sports. so my classmates make jealous.
MAIN QUESTIONS:
how do i stop feeling jealous of everyone?
how can i make my family proud of me? i only do guitar (which i am bipolar with lol)
what do i do?
OHHH. i asked a question whats wrong ith me and my guitar on how much i love/hae it – the answerer said NO bi-polar =)
Find your passion and do that. If it’s guitar, animals, cooking whatever. Mainly, find something you love and as you get good at it you can feel good about yourself for what YOU accomplished. It’s sounds like you’re competing for your grandpa’s attention–but, you don’t have to be good at anything for him to adore you. You can have a closer relationship just by making an effort to know him and asking how things were different when he was a teen; ask if he remembers the Great Depression, what he thinks of computers…He can be proud of you just for being a good person, and talk about you because he enjoys your company and who you are. Be careful, of thinking that other people’s lives, talents etc. are better. The grass really isn’t greener on the other side–all people have problems whether they are seen or unseen. Good luck!
