How do i get higher self-esteem?
and stop being jealous of my friends
My self-esteem changes at differnt times of the month lol.After ‘ menstruation’ for about weeks its high , then the rest of the time i gets gradually lower and lower..
Self esteem is mind over matter. Jealousy is only in the mind and your friend should be what matters. And this is what I mean:
Just keep in mind, you are just as good as anyone else and that includes your friends. Whatever you want for yourself, you should want just as good for your friend or even better. This is teaching you to be unselfish or as you say jealous.
When we teach ourselves to be unselfish we teaches ourselves not to be jealous. For example, if you see that your friends are getting much more attention than you, keep in mind, they may deserve it at that time and your time to get attention will eventually come. Put positive things in your mind at that time of jealousy. We must not ever be jealous of someone we care for even those we care less about.
Keeping a positive mind, will pick up your self-esteem in any situation.
I am proud to tell my kids that I graduated at the bottom of my class when I was in high school. But when I graduated from college, I graduated with all honors except for in nursing school, that was another story. I was probably again at the bottom of the list, but you know what, that doesn’t matter, I continues to keep a positive mind. I can’t do everything and everything can’t out do me.
We are all human and has many flaws, how we correct them is what really counts.

Is my sister jealous of me or has low self-esteem?
shes younger than me, but she acts mature. Shes always trying to hint at things i do and pick on it through conversation, but she doesn’t say it direct. everything thats personal to me, i like she picks on it, i dont pick on her stuff, what she likes. And shes always boasting, about how she teased boys or who asked for her number, or who said how beautiful she was. Shes always competing for no reason with me, she goes out of her way to try to make people feel ignorant, and she always has to be right just about no matter what! if you disagree with her its an instant arguement, you can’t have an opinion. I dont understand why she has something to prove to the world, does she not feel shes good enough on her own, like do people have to tell her shes pretty to think she good looking? And she acts like she above everyone in the family. Im just wondering, why she has to try and diss or pick on me .its not direct but i get the hints. Does she have to be pompus all the time? she gets peoples fone numbers and then says they are bothering her, weird! please help me out thx!!

Have you noticed that married people who are insecure are usually overweight or have low self-esteem?
I had a conversation about this topic this weekend. I myself am overweight for my height so I am not picking on anybody in particular. It just seems that whenever you hear a person say their husband/wife is jealous and controlling and always accusing them of cheating … it is because they are overweight or have very low self-esteem.
You don’t typically see or hear of women that look like Beyonce or Eva Longoria worrying that their man is straying. What are your thoughts?
Just for the record, I also have low self-esteem … I think.

and now finally she finds love with a man 10 years younger than her (hopefully it works)
in essence, i am saying being overweight and little self esteem does not cause you to be insecure. what makes you insecure is being constantly cheated on and not being valued as a woman in the relationship.
even if lost the weight you want which might lead some self esteem, he would have found a reason to cheat.
and you mentioned beyonce, wasn’t jayz accused of having a baby with free (from 106 and park).
as you can see looks has nothing to do with insecurity.

Jealousy and self esteem issues?
Simple – I’m jealous of my ex’s new girlfriend. He was a tool, and a liar. But I still feel I wasn’t good enough for him, and think all the reasons this new girl is.
It’s really lowering my self esteem.
I know I shouldn’t be jealous, they deserve each other. But it still makes me feel like crap.
How do I stop feeling jealous and sad, and boost my self esteem back?
You’ve already taken a huge step.
You see that your ex is a prick and you realize that you’re feeling down because of self-esteem issues. That’s awesome. Just a quick wade through other questions and you’ll see a lot of women who think that means they still love the guy, completely oblivious of their insecurity and how it affects them.
Going forward, the most important thing you need to understand is that self-esteem and self-worth have the "self-" bit in there for a reason: They are things that you have to give yourself.
So ask yourself whether or not you like who you are as a person, whether you’re comfortable with yourself and think you deserve to have George Clooney and Johnny Depp fighting over you.
- Accept the things you have no control over.
Feeling bad about being short or not having perfect skin is about as silly as looking at a bird and feeling bad about not being able to fly. I mean, there’s really no point at all even thinking about that stuff, and you should laugh at yourself whenever you catch yourself doing it.
- Change the things you do have control over.
The one most people in the U.S./Britain have a problem with is their weight. Ignore the "fat acceptance" movement. I’ve worked in health care for years, and have a serious metabolic disorder myself. I maintain a healthy weight. I’ve known diabetics, amputees, developmentally disabled, and all sorts of other folks who manage to keep fit. It’s neither easy nor fast, but the results are incredible (you feel great both physically and emotionally).
This applies for everything else, too. Not happy with your job? Start taking classes (online or part-time) that will start you on the road to a better one. Don’t have enough friends? Find new friends through existing ones, volunteer at shelters/other organizations (you meet A TON of good people this way, and it’s also a feel-good experience), and so on. Change, or start yourself on the path towards changing, everything you’re unhappy about.
Keep doing those things until you can say "I am freaking awesome."

What are the consequences to sleeping around, in regards to self esteem, dignity and other consequences?
I like to think things through a lot. If a girl sleeps around with a lot of guys, could she be murdered by a jealous guy or be stalked or attacked? Does it have effects on your self esteem, dignity and confidence and does it give you a bad reputation? Do guys tell everyone they slept with you?
And do you have loss of dignity and self respect and when she wants to settle down with a nice guy, is it hard for her to find one and what would a nice guy think of a girl like this? Would he look twice at her?
If a girl sleeps with a group of guy friends, what would the consequences be.
Sorry for all the qs. There is a group of guy friends who I went out with, I was thinking it will be fun to sleep around with them, all 24 of them. What would the consequences of my actions be?
