God himself says in the Old Testament that he’s a jealous God.

I can’t imagine any perfect, supreme being acting as vain and angry as the OT God. His attributes say a lot more about the people who invented him, than about any kind of supreme being.

God is surprisingly human, according to his followers.

Which leads me to believe that he is nothing but psychological transference, if anything.

Otherwise, an infinite God would encompass everything, including all religions and philosophies and cultures.

God does not have low self esteem because there is no such thing.

The concept of god, however, is often one of a being with major issues… megalomania, low self-esteem, co-dependency, anti-social personality disorder, the list goes on. I’m thinking it would take every shrink on earth and a pharmaceutical company cranking out meds just for the Big Guy, along with trillions of dollars in therapist fees.

It’s rather useless speculating on a mythological being’s characteristics.

But I doubt that I would want worship if I were a god; if I was lonely and wanted some one to fellowship with, I’d have them be more of a friend not a worshiper.
